BIO: DYLAN BUDD
Thanks for stopping by! My name is Dylan Budd, and I am a junior at Ball State University studying Sports Media Production through the Sports Link program. During my time in school, I've gained extensive experience in my on-air talent, but also photography, videography, journalism, feature storytelling, and live production. I am a driven and diligent student and worker, and I am confident that I would be a valuable asset to your team. Thank you for your consideration.
What's New?
This semester, I worked with the TOGETHER crew on my second feature story. The story follows Cincear Lewis, a Ball State linebacker and violinist. He fell in love with the arts in elementary school, and rekindled that connection at Cincinnati after consecutive ACL tears.
I worked closely with director Jude Kieffer and executive producers Jordan Klines and Josh Bobay. I'm incredibly proud of how the piece turned out, and the full feature can be seen below on Together: Season 2, Episode 4.
Summer 2026
I spent the summer in St. Cloud, Minnesota, covering the St. Cloud Rox on-air with the Northwoods League. This team played 70 games in 76 days, so I've learned to fall in love with the grind of summer ball. With each game, I found myself continually growing my on-air presence, whether in presentation, vocabulary, energy, and anything in between. I had the benefit of travelling with the team and broadcasting from all around the Great Plains Division. To know the players, coaching staff, and front office has brought a new element to my work, by having the ability to better tell humanizing, engaging stories about the team on-air.
